Thank you, Amy, for hosting the Blogger's Quilt Festival. I look foreword to seeing everyone's contributions, though I fear I won't get to see them all until after my vacation, but I will try! I do have my priorities straight. {silly}
The quilt I am sharing is one of the first ones I made almost 2 years ago now. I followed Lady Havertine's Confetti tutorial. I loved the randomly placed brightly colored squares on a crisp white background of her quilt.
The brightly colored fabric in the body of the quilt was from my mom's stash that was given to me after she died. I believe they were samples, and never one to pass up a freebie, they were probably given to her and that's why she had them. That's the only explanation I can come up with because they are {so} not her style. They are mine, however, and I am thrilled to see them all together in a sweet baby blanket.
I love this quilt...not only the colors, but I love how the qulit gets all crinkly from the quilting! So Cute.

ReplyDeleteVery nice! I took a look at Lady H's tute; I think I'll have to review that tomorrow, early in the day, while I'm still fresh, because late a night, those directions are just NOT getting thru this brain!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it!
ReplyDeleteA friend here just gave me a bunch of teeny '30s and 40s scraps and a few white feedsacks. This would be PERFECT for those!
