Zippered bags to give to the ladies on my husband's side of the family. Pattern can be found on May Your Bobbin Always Be Full. The one thing I changed in the pattern was I  zig-zag stitched the edges to make them more neat. If you have a serger, I would use it for this project. This is an easy and quick project. Do not be afraid of the zippers. They aren't hard to do at all! I've only done one zippered project before these. I am a total novice and I found them to be easy to do. 

At 7:30 on Wednesday night, I decided I wanted to make something for my sister-in-law as a "Thank you" for hosting us at her home for Thanksgiving dinner. Four hours later, I had this cute table runner all finished. It looked beautiful on her table.

After scouring the net for hours and hours trying to find Quilt Patis I finally found some in stock at a cute store in Canada called Sew Sisters. It does appear that the creator of the Quilt Patis is going to be getting more in stock soon. I was too impatient to wait. {ahem}

And just in time to help a girl out, Karen at Sew Many Ways posted a very detailed tutorial on how to sew the hexagons and how to sew the sew them together.

Look at the pitiful plastic pouch my Juki's feet and accessories came in. It had to go!

Now isn't this {sew} much cuter! Not bad for my first project on Miss Juki. I {heart} this machine! And, it came with a zipper foot. Cool!

I tried taking a picture of the pockets on the inside, but the pictures kept turning out all goofy, so I spared your eyesight and my pride by not posting them. I hope the recipients I made them for like them. I was told I could do whatever I wanted, so I did. =D

Garage sale season is in full swing. Look at the beauties I have added to my stash...The blue flowered pillowcase on the far left is my favorite. It's 100% cotton crispiness. I was thrilled to find 2 pillowcases and 2 top sheets of the fabric. 

I'm thinking I need to not be stingy and share the wealth, so to speak, one of these days. {smile}

Because I am a quitter {I quit smoking 3 years ago, thus, I am a quitter}, I went ahead and made a table runner with most of the blocks I made from Rachel @psiquilt pinwheel sampler quilt along. My daughter and husband are purchasing their first home and my plan is to give it to them as a house warming gift next month.

I won't mention I am over a month late with her birthday present. I don't like to rush these things. {wink}
