A blue and white quilt has been in my head for a while. After doing some spring cleaning in my sewing room, I pulled out the Pam Kitty Morning blue fabrics out and got busy making some Jacob's Ladder blocks.
I played around with some layouts before I finished pressing them.
I decided on the more traditional layout. The seams nested nicely with this option.
I wanted it to be bigger, so I added some four patches to make a scrappy border.
Now it waits to be quilted. =)
Have a happy Thursday!
I really like this quilt block. I haven't made it yet. Your last layut is looking good. Chris
ReplyDeleteOoooooo! I love that! I bet Judy does too :)

ReplyDeleteCool - love the 4-patches as a border for this design, and I recognize a couple of prints in my stash :)

ReplyDeleteWow. Wow, wow, wow. I'm not a fan of blue but that quilt screams "make ME"!!! That is really gorgeous, Amy!
ReplyDeleteso good to see Jacobs ladder made into a quilt have only done one off blocks and seen one off blocks before but seeing this tells me I must have a go myself, liking the one you chose best too
ReplyDeleteJacob's ladder is on my bucket list. I have always lost them, but I lost my mum late last summer and I feel like it will be theraputic to make with that pattern while I heal.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful quilt!
Karen, I see that you do not have a blog, so I cannot communicate with you directly. (Well, I have a blogger acct but I am not blogging)
DeleteI am so sorry you lost your mum. I know your pain. I lost my momma late last summer too. Yes, make a quilt. Work slowly. I know exactly where you are. ....and life goes on and we have to keep going even though we carry this sadness ♥️
I love your quilt tool. I have been seeing Jacob's ladder blocks around and added that to my future quilts lost. I like the traditional layout you decided on best.
ReplyDeleteOh my. Amy, this is so pretty. I love blue.
