Flower Girl is finished! I am super happy with it. =) I was going to keep it, but I decided to give it away as a gift to a certain someone who asked for a red and aqua quilt.
The quilt measures 80" x 100". Most of the fabric is Ruby by Moda. The pattern I used is Flower Girl by Thimble Blossoms. I changed it up a little bit to make it bigger.
My favorite block.
Backed with flannel from the Ruby line, so it will be nice and cuddly warm this winter.
I am so glad to have it done so I can look at it and enjoy it until it goes to live in it's new home.
Gorgeous! My daughter Mary-Katherine would love this quilt! She had a flannel quilt that she loved so much it fell apart. She would cuddle on the couch with it, even in the summer and she just turned 21! lol
ReplyDeleteAmy, your quilt is gorgeous!! I don't know anyone that would not LOVE your quilt!!

Amy, it's amazingly beautiful!! I've never used flannel as a backing but just ordered some from Cotton Way. I'm hoping it sews up just fine. LOVE your quilt....at least yours for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI love that line of fabric. I think I still have some in my stash! As always the quilt is beautiful Amy.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty quilt Amy. This one is on my list, but purple flowers with yellow centers for my oldest girl. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I'm really starting to love red and aqua....kinda late to the game, aren't I? It doesn't matter, I love it no matter how long it has been around. I'm sure the recipient will love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's simply lovely. This is such a fresh color combo.
ReplyDeleteI love aqua and red! I've been collecting prints in this family. One day mine will be a quilt, too!
ReplyDeleteI like the scale of the blocks, too. Large so the fabrics pieced are big enough to showcase the prints as well as the colors!
I am pinning your quilt, so I don't forget where I saw it when I'm ready to buckle down and enjoy sewing this autumn.
Amy, it turned out so wonderful!! i love the reds and aquas and the block is so pretty! The new home will be very pleased, I am sure :)
