Life is good!

July 19, 2019

Yes, I am still here!

There hasn't been any sewing happening since I posted last, and it will be weeks before I will be able to get into my sewing room again, but all is well!

We have been very busy with the never-ending job of home maintenance...

replacing deck boards
painting the soffit
camping...

and travels.

Orange Beach
Very soon we are heading to Glacier National Park!!

At the beginning of this year, Russ and I changed how we were eating, partially to prepare for hiking at Glacier, as well as for our overall general health. I am proud to say that I have lost over 40 pounds and my husband has lost almost 50 so far!! We feel fantastic!

Later this summer, my granddaughter, Brooklyn, will be visiting for a few days. I hope to do some sewing projects with her while she is here. That will be fun!

Until next time!!

  5. I love your teardrop trailer!!!! Wow girl you look AMAZING, you'll have to send me a list of what to eat, lol! I hate the lists of what not to eat - mostly because they have chocolate on them - but dang, I am so impressed! You ROCK!!!!!!!!

  6. Wow....that is awesome! You must feel so much better too. You can really see the difference.

    I love your little camper. I've seen them on the road and always wondered what they look like on the inside.

    Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on my sister's birthday quilt.

  9. Woot, woot! {grin} We're heading out to Glacier and Yellowstone at the end of August for a couple weeks. Uber excited to go back! You look like you've done great with the weight loss -- keep pressing on! I'm on a wee bit of a journey myself and am down 20 pounds in just over 10 weeks (love the Lose It app for keeping me on track). I 'just keep swimming' (or in my case, eating less and biking more!) Would love a 'tour' of your teardrop, if you're willing. We traded in our 20+ year old Jayco last August for a Forest River MicroLite and just got back yesterday from our first long trip with it. We ended up sticking with a mid-size trailer, but considered some weekend adventure-type models, too. For now, this one suits our camping style, but I do so love the options and flexibility of the smaller units. Happy campers, indeed! {grin}
