Becky asked me how I knew Amanda awhile back. The fact is...I don't know Amanda personally, but I do know her momma...Denise and I were best friends during high school.

Our last names were beside each other alphabetically, so our lockers were always next to each other. We put a lock on one and kept the other unlocked and shared them. I imagine all lockers in highschools are locked these days. Back then, we had to get special permission to get the lock! We took almost every class together, except she was brave (and smart) enough to take biology. I passed on that one. *wink* Most importantly, Denise and Karen (our other best friend) invited me to go to Spring Valley Bible Camp one summer. It was there where I heard the Gospel for the first time. Denise and Karen have a very special place in my heart and so does Amanda...

Day 10...

Today is the 10th day of this cough/cold and missing church for the second week in a row. I miss being there with my brothers and sisters. *sigh* My family is pretty tired of me not feeling well, too.

Spring is right around the corner here. We have had several days of warmer sunshiney days. Today it rains, which means even more snow will melt. Here is a peek of what I found under all the snow....I love my daffodils. ☺

I downloaded a new application called MacJournal. The theory is, I will be able to type in MacJournal and have it sent straight to my blog. Pretty cool, if I can figure it out. :o) My brain is a bit mushy after today due to pain medication that I ended up needing this afternoon. Apparently, migraines and crown preps can equal some serious ouchiness..

Interesting day ahead

I know I have been quiet lately...I get that way every so often. I have been busy sewing on my quilt, which was finished yesterday. I'll be updating my quilting blog with that information later today or tomorrow, Lord-willing...

For almost a week, I have been dealing with a cold and today, I have the joy...NOT!...of going to the dentist to be prepped for not one, but two crowns!! Ugh...I told them to do both at once because I know myself well enough to know I won't go back for the second one until the tooth is so damaged that the work on it will be more invasive. Its best for me to get them both done and over with. Of course, no major dentist appointment would be complete without a migraine to go with...That's right, a migraine began last night and continues this morning. A nap is on order for me this afternoon.
