Yes, I think it even added to the overall effect even if it hadn't "needed" it for showing thru. Sometimes my best work is done because of mistakes! :)
I really like those red circles - they give the quilt a little bit of "punch" - not that it needed any, but the depth of the colour just adds something special... I love that you used your pinking scissors/blade - it mirrors the points of the blocks perfectly!
Okay, I love it with the red circles - very clever to use pinking shears and I love it without. Oh I'm no help at all! I do love the border though! I'll check back and see what you decide.
