Over the hills and through the woods...

February 24, 2013

to granddaughter's house we go... =)

Russ and I left our home a day early in order to miss the snow storm that was heading our way. We didn't want to take a chance on not being able to hang out with our favorite girl for the weekend....

For those that don't know...Brooklyn is my son's daughter. He and his girlfriend (at the time) wisely chose to place Brooklyn up for adoption. We are so richly blessed to be able to still be grandparents to this little darling and her parents are raising her to love the Lord. Makes me so happy....

Of course, we made a stop at my very favorite quilt store, Crafty Corner Quilt and Sewing Shoppe. They seriously know how to treat their customers very well and that is an understatement. Brooklyn was very helpful to help me load up the counter with pretty fabrics to come home with me. Some of them will end up in the quilt I am making for her bed.

Enjoy the eye candy....

Have a happy week!!

  1. She seems well adjusted to her life. So glad you are able to be a part of it. Grandchildren are a gift we have as we grow older and we need to be part of their upbringing. So glad you had a good visit. Chris

  3. Your granddaughter is a doll and I am glad you are able to have a relationship with her.

There are a few 'oldies' in your new stash. I wonder if Michael Miller is re-issuing them?? I am not a big fan of pink, goodness that black with the pink roses in so cute. Who makes that one?

  8. Oh Amy, she's so sweet. From the smile on her face and the twinkle in her eyes, she's delighted to be in your company.

I'm seriously loving the fabrics you and Brooklyn chose. Love the feed sack roll. I have to ask though, do you know who makes the fabric in the last photo. The one with the red and blue cats and the little girl in the red dress looking into the hand mirror? That one is just darling. (But as much as Brooklyn)
