The colors make me happy....
The points are far from perfect in some places, but it really doesn't matter. =) So all my newbie quilters, don't worry about perfect points. Do the best you can and keep on going. You learn with every quilt. My next one will be better.
See? When looking at the big picture, you don't see the less than perfect points. =)
I have a plan for this quilt, but I have to keep it a secret for now. Shhhhhhh....
Wow! That was quick! What a fun, happy quilt. It makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I am really learning to embrace life's imperfections, that is really real life!!
ReplyDeleteThe BIG picture is beautiful!...and you are right...they don't always have to be perfect.
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you use a template to cut out the triangles?
Stefanie
Love your fabrics and color schemes. Your points all look fine to me. I'm glad you said what you said for new quilters though. I am one and I sometimes wonder 'what happened' between the time I cut those out and they got sewn together! :D I just warn everyone not to look too closely!

What a great encouragement to new quilters. After 20+ years, my points still do not often match. And you are right, one learns something from every quilt.
ReplyDeleteI think this is the first time I have seen a quilt made up in Flea Market Fancy. I always read about a quilters stash of it, but never see it made into a quilt. Way to go Amy.

I like to think of them as diamonds..you made some very colorful diamonds...each as captivating as all of your quilts are...

ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely quilt and no-one else would see the less than perfect ... Great work, Amy :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous, happy, beautiful quilt! Even the "professionals" don't have perfect points. Love that quilt. Sixty degrees is a wonderful angle for those eternal diamonds. Can't wait to see the final result.

ReplyDeleteAmy, Every time I see one of your quilts, I just wish I could pick it up and hug it! That is such a cozy looking quilt! I love it!!!! You are right, the points being perfect doesn't matter in the big picture! Lovely fabrics choices! I really think you are the best at fabric choices! Bless you sweet friend!
