Baby Granny Square

September 8, 2012

I am so glad I took the time to remove the quilting I did on this the first time around and redid it. I like it so much better!!

I used a soft yellow gingham sheet for the back. =)

Have a great weekend!!

Word Verification and a Plea

September 7, 2012

Would you be a peach and see if you have word verification turned on in your blog and consider turning it off?

Here is how to check....

Go to your dashboard > then go to settings > and then to comments. Scroll down this page until you find word verification. Choose the NO option to turn it off. Don't forget to click save settings at the bottom of the page.

I want to comment on your blogs. I really, really do, but it is getting harder to decipher the words and after 3 tries, I move on. =(

Turn it off, please???

I really have been quiet!

September 6, 2012

I am getting some things accomplished during my quiet time.  =)

The Granny Squares blocks I made a while ago got put together into a flimsy. I used sweet Trish's (Notes of Sincerity) tutorial

It was bigger than I expected, so I made a small baby blanket with some of the squares. I started quilting it, didn't like it and took it apart. Yup, that's how I roll...

I received a gift of 30's fabric by a friend who has asked to remain anonymous. I have some plans for them whirling around in my brain....

I've been working on my Betsy's Closet stitchings. I am less than happy with how this block looks. Jenny of Elefantz shared some tips.

The tips added to this lamp and magnifying glass

has greatly improved the quality of my stitching. Amazing what you can do when you can see!

I may or may not redo the other block. I'll make that decision after all the blocks are finished.

Have a great day, friends...I am thankful for all of you.

Really.

=)

Rainbow Strings

This one makes my heart sing. =)

Finishes

August 30, 2012

My words are few these days. Nothing is wrong, just quiet. Sometimes I need to be inside a safe cocoon. =)

I finished this one up yesterday. The thread I used for the words look too chunky. I don't hate it, so I am going to leave well enough alone and not redo the whole thing. I reserve the right to change my mind on that, though...

The big picture.

Lets Go Fly a Kite! This one I really love!

Love this monkey playing peek-a-boo.

Have a safe Labor Day weekend!

Still stitching....

August 27, 2012

Pretty threads in a jar....

First block of Circles of Life project. Pattern can be found in Jenny of Elefantz's shop.

I'm almost done adding the blanket stitch to this project.

Monday means laundry and I had better get back to it! =)

Have a great day, everyone...I may not be commenting, but I am reading your blogs. =)

Prairie points
I don't think I will have it done by tonight's baby shower, but at least I have a good start, right? =)

Back to work!
