Charming Stars is a fun quilt to make and it goes together quickly!
As I was cutting off the bits, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try to save them.
I pined them before I cut them off to help them stay together until I could sew them together.
They sewed up fairly easily, for being so small. I hate to see even the smallest piece of fabric go to waste when it's a line I really love. And I love this line...
First block done!
It's only just begun....Can you tell I have been listening to The Carpenter's lately?
I love this pattern. I would love to make it too :-)
ReplyDeleteYour blocks turned out so well constructed and pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I had your talent! :> )
ReplyDeleteA favorite pattern, and like you, I can't waste fabric either...the rectangles would make a great little border for another quilt maybe.
ReplyDeleteAmy, I liked this one so much, I have the tab opened on my computer, like I could start it with the wedding plans right now, lol. Yours is gonna be beautiful. I saved my triangles from another project, too, but try this next time: I went ahead and sewed the second seam as I went, instead of pinning-! then , you are left to cut, press and go.

Oh, I LIKE !
ReplyDeleteGood for you on making the fabric go as far as possible........I haven't even been able to make myself cut into my favorite Nicey Jane charm squares !
Oh those are so cute! That is an adorable line of fabrics. Pretty popular in blog land these days.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH Amy! Those are awesome! I love them! Way to go! I can't wait to see the finish!
ReplyDeleteMichelle
Would you come to my house some weekend and sew with me?
ReplyDeleteI love what you have done with the quilt! And your HST are so super cute. What a great way to recyle/reuse every piece of fabric.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are stunning and I'll bet you will be done with this quilt really soon! Love your version.
Hope the sun is shining in your corner of the world,
Stefanie
