A project I began last summer...Make Life Disappearing 9 Patch
I have to say, using the technique of a faux piped binding is my favorite way to finish a quilt. You can find Trisha's tutorial @ TLC Stitches.
I am so grateful to all of you who take the time to leave a comment!
I will respond to your comment/questions in an email unless you have your email hidden. In that case, I will reply to your comment on my blog. Also, I apologize for having to block anonymous users - too much spam was coming through.
Grace and peace to all of you!
Love it! Thanks for sharing the tutorial. I need to try it out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great-looking quilt!
ReplyDeleteI had plans to finish the binding on 2 quilts today - one is a disappearing 9-patch too! - and also hoped to finish my MIL's (late) Christmas gift, participate in an online mystery quilt project, and catch up on my layer-cake quilt blocks.
Well.... my MIL's gift is done (I should have pics up soon!)! I haven't managed to find my layer-cake yet, the binding hasn't been touched, and I got the fabrics cut out for the mystery quilt project - and that's it! Wait - I did a bit of tidying in my craft room...
that piping trick looks so cool...this is a great quilt and you got that done awfully quick
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that tutorial. I have never seen that method of binding before. It looks good.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is gorgeous and I applaud you on your first finish of 2011!
Great finish and thanks for the link to the tute! I host "Finished for Friday" and I invite you to link this up next Friday. It's like show and tell for grownups.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely little quilt. Will check out the tutorial for the faux binding as I am always looking for an alternative technique to try.
