I said last night I would never make this block again. I was frustrated with how one of the blocks was going together.
Now that it's done
and I can see the big picture
I can honestly say it was worth all the frustration.
I love this quilt....
I haven't decided about a boarder and what fabric to use. I'm all ears if anyone has a suggestion. =)
That is just so pretty and with perfect points too! Can't wait to see how you finish the borders. You stitch fast!
ReplyDeleteOh my, it is gorgeous! Boy do I wish I could do that! You are so wonderful! I love the colors, can't wait to see what you boarder it with!

So beautiful!! You work so fast!! I have never tried the pattern, but I might have too!! I am all about mini polka dot borders, like the RUby collection. Maybe a pretty red or pink? xo Heather
ReplyDeleteThat turned out great! I had seen the Northcote line, but wondered if it was too samey-samey. It isn't at all. You have done a fabulous job. Jealous of all the young married couples being blessed with quilts.

Amy, I definitely like it all put together! Yes, seeing the finished product gives you the bigger picture--a pretty one! I like the darker pink fabric just below the center block for a border and binding it with red to pull in the center. It will be a show-stopper when finished! You do quick work!
ReplyDeleteOoohhhhh!!! Love it!!! I wasnt sure about the fabric range in this ... thought it a bit pale ... But this works!!! The colours are gorgeous together ... and doesn't that red really bring it all together!!! Love it!!! ... I love Deb's suggestion - definitely a red binding to tie it all together!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the bright red on the outside, whether it be a border, or binding. That would tie it all together. Love your flimsey!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern. The dark red in the center would be really nice as a thin border stripe then some filler then some binding strips with the same dark red. I doubt you really need any help from us, though. Your stuff always looks great!
ReplyDeletewow you made fast work of this quilt top. that is so amazing. that red would make a nice frame for the quilt
ReplyDeleteI can't make any suggestions because i'm speechless!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutly wonderful♥♥♥♥♥
Amy your swoon quilt looks amazing!!!! Great job, I love all the fabric combo'd together.

They become addicting once you start them. You will find the right border and I bet you make more of them. Chris
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is just beautiful Amy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and your red center block really pops! I would be tempted to finish it with red. What a nice gift this will be ~
