Swoon flimsy

May 4, 2012

I said last night I would never make this block again. I was frustrated with how one of the blocks was going together.

Now that it's done

and I can see the big picture

I can honestly say it was worth all the frustration.

I love this quilt....

I haven't decided about a boarder and what fabric to use. I'm all ears if anyone has a suggestion. =)

  3. So beautiful!! You work so fast!! I have never tried the pattern, but I might have too!! I am all about mini polka dot borders, like the RUby collection. Maybe a pretty red or pink? xo Heather

  4. That turned out great! I had seen the Northcote line, but wondered if it was too samey-samey. It isn't at all. You have done a fabulous job. Jealous of all the young married couples being blessed with quilts.

  5. Amy, I definitely like it all put together! Yes, seeing the finished product gives you the bigger picture--a pretty one! I like the darker pink fabric just below the center block for a border and binding it with red to pull in the center. It will be a show-stopper when finished! You do quick work!

The colours are gorgeous together ... and doesn't that red really bring it all together!!! Love it!!! ... I love Deb's suggestion - definitely a red binding to tie it all together!!!

  7. I think the bright red on the outside, whether it be a border, or binding. That would tie it all together. Love your flimsey!

  8. I love this pattern. The dark red in the center would be really nice as a thin border stripe then some filler then some binding strips with the same dark red. I doubt you really need any help from us, though. Your stuff always looks great!
