Searching the web, I found a tutorial for a quilt called the disappearing nine-patch. I thought it looked like fun and something I could do. I'm using the smaller scraps of material that I got from my mom.
Here is the beginning of my new project.

Amy, hey! That's gonna be a neat quilt. You have a good start on it. Do you do a lot of quilting? Have fun with it! Nancy
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Love the colors! Are we looking at the front and back in the photos?
ReplyDeleteNancy...I am a beginner quilter. :o)
ReplyDeleteCarol...It's the same block that I am showing. First lined up, then sewn together and cut and then two of the new squares are turned. Clear as mud??? I don't know what I'll use for the back yet.
LOL I just got to looking at the link you gave. Now I get it. I love it. What a great idea. Can't wait to see it completed.
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern! Also love that you included some denim patches - love the seam in one of them! Have fun at the fabric store. I think it's so fun choosing fabrics!!
ReplyDeleteIt distresses me a little to think of cutting up fabric that I've just sewn together, LOL, but the results are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try this if I make another quilt.
Oooo....I can't wait to see the finished product. I love the colors!!
