Began a new quilt

April 6, 2009

Searching the web, I found a tutorial for a quilt called the disappearing nine-patch. I thought it looked like fun and something I could do. I'm using the smaller scraps of material that I got from my mom.

Here is the beginning of my new project.

I have a Crazy Shortcut Quilt ready to put together, but I need to decide on what material to use for the sashing. I need to get to the store with a few of the squares and make up my mind.

  3. Nancy...I am a beginner quilter. :o)

Carol...It's the same block that I am showing. First lined up, then sewn together and cut and then two of the new squares are turned. Clear as mud??? I don't know what I'll use for the back yet.

  6. It distresses me a little to think of cutting up fabric that I've just sewn together, LOL, but the results are awesome!

I'd like to try this if I make another quilt.
