Anxiety

April 27, 2010

For me, the worst part of being anxious, is not knowing why I am anxious. It's hard on my family because they want to fix whatever it is that is causing my anxiety.

I long for the day when this flesh will be replaced with a glorified body. Perfect in every way... In the meantime, I praise Him...

  1. I know whatcha mean! I sometimes jokigly say, "I'm just obeying Philippians 4:6 because I'm anxious for NOTHING or at least I don't know why I'm so anxious so I must be "anxious for nothing"!" I hate that feeling and it seems hard to let go, but yes, in the meantime we praise Him!

    Philippians 4:6-9
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."

  2. I'm going to use that next time! LOL!

I am very curious how many people deal with anxiety that is non situational, if that makes sense. I have a feeling it's a lot of us. We just don't talk about it.
